Outrage Erupts After Donald Trump’s Controversial ‘Delusional’ Comment About Executing Babies

During the debate with Vice President Kamala Harris, former President Donald Trump faced intense criticism after making an inflammatory and bizarre claim, stating that Democrats “allow the execution of babies after birth.” The comment immediately sparked outrage across social media platforms.
Users on X (formerly Twitter) were quick to express their frustration and disbelief. One user wrote, “HOLY F***, Trump is talking about babies getting executed after birth,” expressing shock at the former president’s statements. Another user added, “This fearmongering and lying is getting so f****** old.” The sentiment continued, and others questioned Trump’s rhetoric: “OH MY GOD WHAT IS HE SAYING??? A PREGNANCY IS 9 MONTHS, THEY ARE NOT KILLING KIDS AFTER BIRTH DAWG.”
Trump’s remarks came after a passionate response from Kamala Harris, during which she reiterated her commitment to reinstating abortion rights in the United States. While Harris focused on women’s reproductive rights, Trump veered into controversial territory, leaving many viewers stunned, told the Mirror US.
Despite Trump’s controversial claims, he remains a central figure in the Republican Party. He is currently facing 34 felony charges related to the New York hush money trial, but his sentencing has been delayed until after the November 5 election. His legal troubles, however, did not prevent him from bringing his signature rhetoric to the debate stage, where Harris was expected to provide sharp rebuttals.
As a former prosecutor, Harris faced the task of confronting Trump’s numerous legal and political weaknesses, including his felony convictions and often factually questionable statements. During the debate, she aimed to take a stronger stance than President Joe Biden had during their June 27 confrontation, where Biden struggled to counter Trump’s talking points.
The stakes were high for Harris, especially as current polls show the vice president in a close race with Trump in key battleground states. Many Democrats were hoping she would capitalize on Trump’s legal vulnerabilities, particularly regarding abortion and the January 6 Capitol riot, to gain an edge in the debate.
However, Trump’s experience with debates and his reality TV background make him a formidable opponent in these high-pressure situations. Harris, nonetheless, seemed eager for the challenge, having boldly called out Trump at a rally in Atlanta, saying, “Donald, if you’ve got something to say, say it to my face.”
The debate continues to be a critical moment in this year’s election, with both candidates vying to sway undecided voters in the final stretch before November.
