Kimberly Guilfoyle’s Departure from Fox News Tied to Allegations of Sexual Misconduct
Kimberly Guilfoyle, a well-known Republican campaigner and former Fox News host, reportedly left the network under troubling circumstances related to accusations of inappropriate conduct. According to a former colleague, Guilfoyle faced accusations of gross sexual misconduct at work, leading to her exit.
The allegations stemmed from a 42-page draft complaint filed by her former assistant, accusing Guilfoyle of displaying inappropriate behavior in the workplace. As reported by The New Yorker, Guilfoyle, now 51, did not leave Fox News voluntarily.
The former assistant was allegedly paid hush money—up to $4 million—under a non-disclosure agreement to prevent any legal action and to keep the real reason for Guilfoyle’s departure under wraps. The identity of the accuser has remained confidential due to legal agreements. When contacted for comment, the former assistant responded, “I wish you well. But I have nothing to say.”
The accusations outlined in court papers detail disturbing behavior, including claims that Guilfoyle would frequently appear naked in front of her assistant and would show her lewd pictures of men’s genitalia. According to the former assistant, these images were of men with whom Guilfoyle had been intimate. The lawsuit also alleged that Guilfoyle “spoke incessantly and luridly about her sex life,” once demanded a massage of her “bare thighs,” and encouraged her assistant to submit to sexual demands from a Fox employee and to sleep with wealthy and powerful men.
The allegations against Guilfoyle sparked a wave of reactions on social media. One user, @MikeWilliams85, likened her to disgraced Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein, tweeting, “Sounds to me like @kimguilfoyle is a smaller-scale, female version of Harvey Weinstein.” Others quickly followed, with @Finn426 adding, “Kimberly Guilfoyle, sexual harassment defendant, is the answer to the question—’What sort of woman would willingly date a Trump?’” Another user, @shallo4855, commented, “I’m not surprised by this article at all. She even looks like an evil Disney character,” while @Disillu80856486 simply noted, “Birds of a feather.”
HuffPost reported that Guilfoyle had attempted to delay her departure from Fox News. She reportedly sought the help of her allies to reach out to Rupert Murdoch, the executive chairman of 21st Century Fox, the parent company of Fox News. However, her efforts were unsuccessful, and she eventually resigned from her position.
The revelations surrounding Guilfoyle’s departure add another layer to her public persona, especially given her high-profile relationship with Donald Trump Jr. and her ongoing involvement in Republican political circles. Though the allegations never led to a public legal battle due to the settlement, they have continued to raise questions about her conduct during her time at Fox News and the circumstances that led to her exit from the network.
