Speaker Kevin McCarthy says Biden investigation ‘rising to the level of impeachment inquiry’
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy has expressed interest in pursuing an investigation into allegations concerning President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden. This comes amidst claims that both Bidens each received $5 million in a bribery scheme connected to the Ukrainian energy company, Burisma. However, it’s worth noting that these claims, reportedly made by an FBI source, have been labeled as “unverified” by mainstream media outlets.
Prior to the midterm elections, some individuals, mainly liberals, predicted that if Republicans secured a majority, they would seek to impeach Biden on tenuous grounds. There are, however, various grounds that critics suggest warrant impeachment, including Biden’s handling of border enforcement.
The media has been criticized by some for its perceived lack of attention to these issues. Still, Representative James Comer and Senator Chuck Grassley have been commended for their investigative work into Biden’s past activities. They allege that several shell corporations were established by Biden during his tenure as Vice President.
Biden has denied accepting a $5 million bribe and posed a challenge to reporters, asking “Where’s the money?” If the bank records of these supposed shell corporations were to be disclosed, they could potentially shed light on the veracity of these allegations.
