As internet commentators joked about Donald Trump Jr.’s apparent irritation when his father praised Barron, anti-MAGA critics agreed: Barron is now fair game for public scrutiny. The Trump family showed strong support for former President Donald Trump at his Tuesday night rally, with Eric, Don Jr., and Barron all in attendance. For Barron, now 18, it was his first political rally supporting his father.

“Look at this,” Trump said to applause, referring to Barron. He asked his son to stand and be recognized, which prompted more cheers from the crowd. While social media users noted Donald Trump Jr.’s seemingly displeased reaction to his younger brother receiving positive attention, it also became apparent that Barron, now an adult, is a legitimate target for public criticism, reported Palmbeach Post.

“Barron Trump is now 18 and publicly cheering on his father. He’s now fair game for criticism,” tweeted @MichaelJStern1. As expected, the internet did not hold back, directing harsh comments toward the former president’s youngest son, who is also the son of former First Lady Melania Trump.

“I guarantee you the spawn of Satan will be every bit like his dad…..,” wrote @Markfry809, attaching a photo of Barron. In response to a user on X who asked them to “leave the kid alone,” @Markfry809 replied: “He’s 18 and he’s campaigning for his father who wants to be a dictator.”

“The arrogance and petulance is obvious,” said @Ilovesummer50. “The only difference between Barron Trump and Donald Trump is that Barron will have no inheritance,” wrote @bobby_angelini. “He’s definitely got both his parents’ pinched-faced scowl,” commented @mimi828.

“I know little to nothing about Barron Trump other than that he is the spawn of Donald–that doesn’t bode well,” said @GeoffBrown82. “But these photos of him at the Trump rally last night giving off Nazi vibes to the adoring crowd creep me the F out.” “Barron will be the worst of them all…,” predicted @NashIsHere4It.

The comments reflect the intense scrutiny and criticism directed at Barron now that he has stepped into the public eye at his father’s rallies. As the youngest Trump navigates his new role, it remains to be seen how he will handle the public attention and criticism that come with being a part of one of the most controversial political families in recent history.
