Louise Thompson Shares Major Health Update After Battling Life-Threatening Septic Shock
Louise Thompson, who recently suffered a serious septic shock, has provided her followers with an update on her health. Taking to Instagram, the Made in Chelsea star expressed hope about returning home soon as she recovers in the hospital.
In a heartfelt post shared on World Kindness Day, Louise reflected on her recent struggles. “The world feels like it’s been a bit unkind to me again. But today is a new day. And that hopefully means home,” she wrote, hinting at her optimism for discharge.
Louise then shared a candid description of her condition. “I really hate to say it, but I’ve been back in hospital feeling very poorly,” she explained, adding humor to her description. “The word ‘poorly’ feels like an onomatopoeia – it sounds frail and sick like I did. Even though I’m only 34 and incredibly strong. Mentally and physically STRONG, if I do say so myself.”
Fans immediately poured in with support and well-wishes for the media personality, who has been candid about her health journey. Louise’s recent hospitalization follows an urgent surgery, adding to a series of medical challenges she’s faced since the birth of her son, Leo, in November 2021.
For those unfamiliar with her story, Louise experienced a hemorrhage during childbirth, losing three liters of blood. Since then, she has also been managing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) as a result of the traumatic experience.
Louise’s resilience and openness about her struggles continue to inspire her followers as she works toward recovery, hoping soon to leave the hospital and be reunited with her family.
