Michael Jackson and David Copperfield Among High-Profile Names in Jeffrey Epstein’s Explosive Unsealed Documents
The public now has access to court documents that name several associates of the notorious sex offender and financier Jeffrey Epstein, including prominent figures such as illusionist David Copperfield, the late singer Michael Jackson, and former US President Bill Clinton. These revelations emerged from court papers obtained by The Blast.
This development comes nine years after Virginia Giuffre filed a defamation lawsuit against Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s known accomplice. The lawsuit led to the disclosure of various individuals in depositions, collectively forming the so-called “Epstein list.”
The documents, while not presenting a direct “list,” do mention several high-profile individuals. Notably, they include a list of people who, according to Maxwell, might possess relevant information.
David Copperfield’s name features prominently in the filings. A deposition by Johanna Sjoberg, who alleges Maxwell recruited her to perform sexual acts on Epstein, includes her account of Copperfield’s presence at Epstein’s home. Sjoberg recounted Copperfield performing magic tricks at a dinner and confirmed his friendship with Epstein when questioned. She also disclosed that Copperfield inquired if she knew about girls being paid to recruit others, though he did not specify their ages.
Additionally, the iconic singer Michael Jackson is mentioned in the documents. Sjoberg’s deposition includes her encounter with Jackson at Epstein’s residence in Palm Beach. When asked if she had ever massaged Jackson, she firmly denied doing so.
The inclusion of Jackson’s name in these documents has garnered significant attention, considering the past allegations of child sexual abuse that have tarnished his legacy.
