Kanye West Faces Over $1 Million in Unpaid Taxes for Yeezy Brand and Calabasas Properties
Kanye West is reportedly dealing with financial issues, owing over $1 million in property and business taxes related to his Yeezy company and two Calabasas homes previously shared with ex-wife, Kim Kardashian.
The Daily Mail reports that Yeezy Apparel, LLC is facing four liens for unpaid taxes totaling $934,033.56 over three years. Additionally, West owes $101,093 in property taxes for the Calabasas residences.
This news surfaces alongside reports of West attempting to sell his $53 million Malibu mansion, which he gutted but is now selling due to dissatisfaction with the wall colors. A source claimed West’s preference for earth tones clashed with the home’s ‘cadet gray’ color, leading to his disinterest in the property, designed by his favorite architect, Tadao Ando.
Purchased in 2021 for nearly $58 million, the concrete-heavy mansion overlooking the Pacific Ocean is now listed for $53 million. Despite facing several lawsuits, West recently had a lawsuit dismissed by his former business manager, Thomas St. John, who had accused him of breaching their contract. In response, West also dropped his countersuit.
