Cheryl Hines Breaks Silence on ‘Feeling Good’ Amid Surprising Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Drama
Cheryl Hines has shared that she is feeling good despite recent personal challenges surrounding her husband Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s rumored romance. Speaking at The Groundlings’ 50th anniversary party in Los Angeles, the Curb Your Enthusiasm star opened up about how she’s doing as she navigates both personal and professional changes.
This comes nearly a month after reports surfaced about her husband’s alleged “personal relationship” with journalist Olivia Nuzzi, which made headlines. Despite the turmoil, Hines, who attended the event with her best friend, actress Rachael Harris, assured reporters that she is maintaining a positive outlook. “Listen, I, I’m feeling good,” Hines told PEOPLE magazine.
Shifting the conversation to the upcoming 2024 presidential election, she humorously reflected on the countdown. “The end is near. And I feel very peaceful about it. 17 days, actually. But yeah, let’s say it’s 16. Every day, I Google it. You think I could remember from the day before. Every day, the countdown,” she said, maintaining her lighthearted approach to the high-stakes political climate.
During the event, Hines also took a moment to reflect on how her time at The Groundlings—a renowned improv and sketch comedy troupe—had a profound impact on her career. “I met my best friends here. Rachael and I have been best friends for a long time. We don’t have to put a date on it,” she joked. Hines credited her improv training at The Groundlings for shaping her career, particularly landing her the role on Curb Your Enthusiasm.
“And if I hadn’t learned how to improvise, I would’ve never gotten part of Curb Your Enthusiasm,” she added. “So, I mean, it just put me on a different path in every way.”
Hines’ appearance at the anniversary event demonstrated her resilience as she remains focused on her career and personal relationships, despite recent challenges in her personal life. Her reflections on The Groundlings highlighted the importance of the comedy troupe in her journey to success, and her enduring friendship with Harris showcased the strong support system she has maintained over the years.
