Britney Spears’ Ex-Husband Jason Alexander Behind Bars for SH0CKING Stalking Allegations
Jason Alexander, Britney Spears’ former spouse, has been apprehended by the police for stalking. The 41-year-old, who was once married to Britney for an extremely short duration of just 55 hours in 2004, was taken into custody at a Tennessee jail. The incident occurred on Wednesday (02.08.23), as reported by TMZ.
The specific details regarding Jason’s bail status or an upcoming court date remain unclear at the moment.
Though the identity of the alleged stalking victim has not been disclosed, it seems improbable that it is Britney herself. Currently residing in California, Britney recently shared a dancing video from her home there, indicating that she might not be the target of the stalking incident.
In a separate event last June, Jason made headlines when he crashed Britney’s most recent wedding. At that time, Britney, now 41, tied the knot with her long-term boyfriend, the 29-year-old actor Sam Asghari, at her Los Angeles mansion.
Speaking in an Instagram Live video, he said: “Britney Spears invited me here. She’s my first wife, my only wife … I’m here to crash the wedding.”
Following the incident, Britney Spears and her husband were granted a restraining order against Jason – which prevents him from coming within 100 yards of the couple – and Britney’s lawyer Mathew Rosengard thanked local authorities for their work.
He said: “Fortunately, Alexander is incarcerated and under an emergency protective order. I want to thank Sergeant Cyrus Zadeh, Detective Ken Michaelson, and the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office for their prompt and good work, and look forward to working with law enforcement to ensure Alexander is aggressively prosecuted and hopefully convicted, as he should be. This was an outrageous security breach, which I am livid about, but fortunately, Britney is safe, and she was a stunning and happy bride.”
