Brad Pitt Experiences Setback as Daughter Zahara Opts for Jolie Surname Amid Family Strife
Brad Pitt is reportedly facing a challenging time as his adopted daughter Zahara Marley Jolie has chosen to use only her mother Angelina Jolie’s surname. The Mirror reports that the 18-year-old recently enrolled at Spelman College’s Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority under the name Zahara Marley Jolie, omitting the ‘Pitt’ from her last name.
During her sorority induction, Zahara introduced herself saying, “My name is Zahara Marley Jolie. And [I] landed all the way from the Golden State in the city full of angels: Los Angeles, California.” Pitt and Jolie adopted Zahara from an Ethiopian orphanage when she was six months old in 2005.
This development comes amidst growing tension within the family. In November 2023, Pitt’s son Pax reportedly criticized his father in a now-resurfaced social media post. According to the Daily Mail, the 19-year-old Pax shared on his private Instagram account, “Happy Father’s Day to this world class as*!! You time and time and again prove yourself to be a terrible and despicable person.”
Pax also accused Pitt of causing fear among his younger siblings, adding, “You have no consideration or empathy toward your four youngest children who tremble in fear when in your presence.” This latest incident with Zahara indicates increasing strains in the Pitt-Jolie family dynamics.
