Bruce Willis’ Daughter Posts a Touching Photo with Him as They Face His Dementia Together
The beloved Die Hard actor, 68, was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (better known as FTD) at the start of 2023. His health battle was first unveiled the year prior though, when Bruce’s family revealed that he was suffering from a language disorder called aphasia.
Taking to Instagram to usher in the new year, Scout LaRue Willis, 32, has shared a slew of snaps rounding up 2023. And within the 10 photographs she uploaded was a super sweet snap of her and Bruce embracing.
“BIG YEAR FOR SCOUTER. WELCOME TO THE JOY,” she penned in the caption. Photos that she shared including solo snaps, snapshots from her daily life, and photos with her family. But it was the one with her father Bruce that left fans going wild.
In the sweet snap of the father-and-daughter duo, Bruce could be seen laying in bed, while Scout rested her head on his chest while gazing up at him. In the photo, Bruce had his hands tenderly placed around Scout’s head.
Fans were quick to react to the sweet photo. One person took to the comments and said: “Bless the love your dad is surrounded by, a warm cocoon to float in, perfectly safe. Itβs SO important for everyone. I hope we gave my mom something similar. My heart goes out to you all! Happy New Year! Peace, love and empathy to all!”
“The one with your dad,” another gushed, while a third said: “Love the picture of you and your dad.” And a fourth person added: “The one with your dad, and then Rumer is really tugging on my heartstrings.”
“The pics are all amazingβ¦ but the one with you and your father really moves me. I lost my dad this past August suddenly and I don’t think it’ll ever feel real. Seeing your face emanates towards your dad makes me feel peace somehow,” penned another.
Back in October, it was revealed that Bruce is now “not totally verbal” after his heartbreaking dementia diagnosis. Glenn Gordon Caron, a film creator who worked with Bruce in the 80s spoke to Page Six last year and said: “My sense is the first one to three minutes he knows who I am.
