‘I am sorry for hitting you’: Darius Jackson Takes Legal Action Against Keke Palmer, Alleging Abuse and Seeking Restraining Order
Former partner Darius Jackson has stepped forward with serious allegations against actress Keke Palmer, filing for a restraining order citing mistreatment spanning their two-year relationship.
The 29-year-old claims that Palmer, 30, star of the film ‘Nope,’ was both verbally and physically abusive throughout their relationship, as per court records obtained by Page Six. Jackson alleges an incident during a birthday celebration in August 2021, where Palmer, described as ‘agitated and aggressive,’ reportedly punched him in the face. Jackson asserts that a friend, Lenoria Addison, attempted to intervene.
Included in the legal filings are screenshots of text messages where Palmer expresses regret for the alleged physical altercation. One message reads, ‘I am sorry for hitting you.’
In another incident from October 2021, Jackson describes Palmer allegedly gripping his arm forcefully, preventing him from leaving to watch a football game. He claims that Palmer texted him later, declaring, ‘We’re DONE,’ and labeled him as ‘childish.’ Jackson asserts that he sent her a photo of the marks left on his arm that night.
Further accusations include Palmer allegedly consuming alcohol in March 2023 and blaming Jackson for a toilet drainage issue. The court documents also reveal that Jackson and Palmer officially ended their relationship in early October 2023, with Jackson recounting an incident where he went to Palmer’s house to pick up their son, Leodis, after the breakup, only to find him missing.
The lawsuit provides additional details about the tumultuous relationship between Jackson and the former Nickelodeon actress, who began dating in July 2021.
