Melania Trump is anticipated to attend the Rosalynn Carter memorial ceremony; the former president is not invited
The memorial service for the late former First Lady Rosalynn Carter, scheduled to be held at Emory University in Atlanta, is set to be a significant event with numerous high-profile attendees.
The Carter Center, in a news release on Monday, confirmed that former first lady Melania Trump will be among the distinguished guests.
She will be in the company of other living former first ladies, namely Michelle Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Laura Bush. The memorial service, which is by invitation only, will also see the attendance of current President Joe Biden, First Lady Jill Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff.
Notably absent from the guest list is former President Donald Trump. Fox News Digital has made inquiries to the Trump campaign regarding his absence.
Rosalynn Carter, who passed away in Georgia at the age of 96 after being placed in hospice care, leaves behind a lasting legacy. Her marriage to former President Jimmy Carter spanned an impressive 77 years, marking it as one of the longest presidential marriages in history.
The tribute service promises to be a memorable affair, featuring performances by the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. They will honor Rosalynn Carter’s memory by playing some of her most cherished songs, as per the Carter Center’s announcement.
This event not only serves to pay homage to her life and contributions but also acts as a rare gathering of several current and former leaders of the United States.
