Unlike her sisters, Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian, who have made headlines with their thriving beauty and cosmetic empires, Kendall stepped into the liquor industry with her tequila brand “818” in 2021. While gearing up for the next season of the family’s iconic series, “The Kardashians”, Kendall clarified that the beauty industry isn’t her intended playfield.
Sharing her perspective with W Magazine, she stated her respect for the beauty realm but acknowledged a lack of personal drive to create in it. “While I adore experimenting with makeup and have gained insights from makeup artists, I’ve never envisioned myself formulating products,” she expressed.
She highlighted her admiration for her sisters, mentioning Kim’s skincare brand, Skkn, and Kylie’s renowned Kylie Cosmetics. It’s noteworthy that Kim’s brand, launched in 2022, swiftly reached a $1 billion valuation. Conversely, Kylie’s venture started in 2015 with the instantly popular lip kits.
However, Kendall’s own tequila brand has made its mark, boasting 1.5 million bottles sold within its initial seven months. She emphasized the leadership skills she’s garnered and the importance of maintaining a positive and motivating atmosphere. Her entrepreneurial spirit is, unsurprisingly, a family trait.
Both Khloe, with her denim label Good American, and Kourtney, with her lifestyle platform Poosh, have their ventures. The family matriarch, Kris Jenner, is renowned for her formidable business acumen. Kendall revealed, “My lineage of strong businesswomen goes back to my great-grandmother.”
In personal tidbits, the media icon touched upon her rumored relationship with artist Bad Bunny and recalled being inspired by her mother’s formidable journey in the entertainment business. Kendall’s preference for her tequila brand during gatherings is a frequent sight.
