Young royals Archie and Lilibet, raised by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in California, might face a puzzling identity crisis, says Paul Burrell, a close associate of the late Princess Diana.

Despite Harry and Meghan’s departure from senior royal roles, they opted to maintain their children’s royal titles. Burrell, Diana’s former butler, speculates this could be perplexing for the kids as they grow up, contrasting their lives with their royal cousins in the UK.

As maintained by The Express published On Monday, September 4 2023 Children raised by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may be “confused” as a result of their upbringing.

Despite bearing titles, the young Californian royals won’t experience the same royal environment as their cousins, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. Burrell hints at the ironic blend of royal titles and an American upbringing, quipping, “A prince and princess in America? Sounds like a film plot!”

The siblings were notably absent from major royal events this year, including King Charles’ coronation, staying in the U.S. with their mother, Meghan. However, the Sussexes have ensured that their children are familiar with their royal heritage. The couple has a framed picture of Princess Diana in their nursery, with Meghan fondly referring to it in a recent Netflix series.

As the children grow older, Burrell anticipates they’ll have more questions about their unique position, saying, “They’ll probably ask, ‘Why aren’t we part of the royal world if we’re a prince and princess?’.” Leaving the royal life, he suggests, might bring forth challenging questions from Harry and Meghan’s offspring in the future.
