Justin Bieber excludes Scooter Braun first time in 16 years while making new music
Justin Bieber seems to be distancing himself from his longtime manager, Scooter Braun, as he embarks on new musical projects.
People Magazine‘s sources indicate that although Bieber remains officially managed by Braun, they haven’t communicated in nearly a year.
Despite recent rumors suggesting the 29-year-old “Peaches” singer had severed ties with Braun, their representatives denied these allegations. The pair’s relationship began when Braun, impressed by Bieber’s YouTube videos, signed him at just 13.
Currently, Bieber is producing music without Braun’s involvement, a first in their 16-year professional history. An insider stated, “For the past six months, as Justin has been crafting his new album, Scooter and his team haven’t contributed to any part of the process. Their professional rapport seems to have reached its endpoint.”
Although a Page Six article maintained that Bieber and Braun are still connected, it hinted at existing tensions. The two recently entered a fresh contract, possibly explaining Braun’s reduced role in Bieber’s current music ventures.
Scooter Braun, 42, previously made headlines due to a dispute with Taylor Swift after purchasing her pre-2017 music catalog, prompting Swift to rerecord her albums.
In related news, Ariana Grande ended her decade-long association with Braun this Tuesday, followed by Demi Lovato, who terminated her four-year partnership with him the next day.
