Rudy Giuliani Flew Down To Mar-A-Lago To Beg Trump To Help With The Staggering Legal Bills He Amassed By Doing His Bidding
Rudy Giuliani, once known as “America’s Mayor,” is reportedly facing severe financial challenges. He has been so financially stretched that his legal team has sought the court’s mercy regarding his financial obligations.
His situation is ironically juxtaposed with the many mobsters he once imprisoned. His alliance with Donald Trump, coming out of what could have been a peaceful retirement, seems to have led him down this path.
According to CNN, in April, Giuliani and his attorney traveled to Mar-a-Lago, seeking financial assistance from Trump – the very figure for whom Giuliani had staked his reputation. Despite having bills allegedly in the millions, his ability to practice law in places like New York City and D.C. is now compromised.
Another source told CNN that Trump only agreed to cover a small fee from a data vendor hosting Giuliani’s records. And months later, Trump’s Save America PAC paid $340,000 to that vendor, Trustpoint, federal campaign filings show. CNN has now confirmed the payment was intended to settle Giuliani’s outstanding bill with the company.
However, Trump reportedly was hesitant to commit to substantial financial assistance after multiple discussions. Instead, he offered to attend two fundraisers for Giuliani as a gesture of support.
In another twist, Giuliani’s legal team recently informed a New York judge that he cannot afford additional costs related to the Smartmatic lawsuit he is facing.
Reports have indicated that Trump, despite being reluctant to provide significant financial help to Giuliani, is wary of the potential implications of Giuliani’s situation. There are speculations that Giuliani might possess incriminating information akin to Michael Cohen, Trump’s previous lawyer.
