Jenna Ellis, previously a lawyer for Donald Trump, has managed to raise over $10,000 through an online crowdfunding initiative for her legal expenses.

Ellis, along with Trump and 17 others, was indicted on charges related to an alleged scheme to overturn Georgia’s 2020 presidential election result.

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has charged Ellis with solicitation of a violation of oath by a public officer and infringing on Georgia’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act.

Contrary to this, Trump and his legal representatives have deemed these allegations “flawed and unconstitutional.”

While Ellis remains committed to her faith and thanks her supporters on Twitter, she has made no comment regarding reports that Trump has cut financial ties with her due to her vocal appreciation of Trump’s GOP primary opponent, Ron DeSantis, reported The Guardian.

John Cardillo, a DeSantis supporter, stated on X (previously Twitter) that Trump’s Political Action Committee (PAC) is not financially assisting Ellis due to her support for DeSantis.

Laura Loomer, a Trump advocate, similarly suggested that Ellis’ lack of backing for Trump in the 2024 race might be the reason she is not receiving funds.

Newsweek attempted to contact Ellis and Trump for further clarity, with no response at the time of this report.

Subsequently, Ellis sought financial support on GiveSendGo, a Christian crowdfunding platform. Her fundraising page indicates that she is under targeted scrutiny and needs assistance in her legal battle.

Meidastouch, a publication, speculates on the reasons for Trump’s alleged withdrawal of support but provides no concrete proof.
