Are Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner The Mar-A-Lago Moles? Cohen Thinks So
Former personal attorney to Donald Trump, Michael Cohen, has speculated in a recent CNN interview that Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner might be the insiders revealing information about the goings-on within Trump’s Florida property, Mar-a-Lago.
Cohen suggested that Kushner, who has reportedly testified before a grand jury regarding Trump’s purported attempts to overturn the 2020 election, is probably discontented about being embroiled again in his father-in-law’s legal challenges. Cohen also inferred that both Kushner and Ivanka might be attempting to steer clear of any investigation by distancing themselves from the former president.
According to Cohen, the family dynamics have taken a downturn, evident in Kushner and Ivanka’s decision to withdraw, despite having been senior advisors during Trump’s initial presidential term. They notably did not participate in his re-election campaign.
Cohen conjectured that Kushner might be divulging confidential information due to his reluctance to face incarceration. Drawing from his father’s experiences, Kushner wouldn’t want his children to undergo the same hardship, Cohen inferred. It should be remembered that Charles Kushner, Jared’s father, was convicted of illegal campaign contributions, tax evasion, and witness tampering in 2005, leading to a two-year prison sentence.
Moreover, Cohen called into question why there has been no probe into the alleged link between Kushner and Saudi Arabia, where his company, Affinity Partners, is claimed to have received $2 billion backed by Saudi funds. Cohen noted this is despite the finance committee of the Saudi investment authority finding Kushner ineligible due to his inexperience in handling finances. Yet, there has been no inquiry into this relationship, added Cohen.
