Former President Donald Trump Outlines Plan for Ukraine Peace Within 24 Hours of Regaining White House
Former President Donald Trump revealed his strategy for achieving peace in Ukraine within 24 hours of returning to the White House during an interview on Fox News‘s “Sunday Morning Futures” with Maria Bartiromo. Trump emphasized his good relationships with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin, asserting that President Biden lacks the capability to effectively engage with world leaders.
Trump highlighted the intelligence and astuteness of leaders like Emmanuel Macron of France and Putin, characterizing them as sharp, tough, and formidable. He expressed concern about the current state of affairs, considering it the most perilous time in American history due to what he perceived as a lack of understanding by the current administration.
Bartiromo inquired about Trump’s claim that he could end the conflict in Ukraine within 24 hours. Trump responded by referencing his familiarity with Zelenskyy and Putin, praising their integrity. He recounted Zelenskyy’s positive response to their “perfect phone call,” acknowledging that Zelenskyy had no knowledge of the controversy surrounding it.
Trump explained his approach to resolving the conflict, stating that he would instruct Zelenskyy to negotiate and make a deal with Russia. He further added that if Russia failed to cooperate, he would provide substantial support to Ukraine, surpassing any assistance they had previously received. Trump asserted that he could successfully reach an agreement in just one day.
As one of the Republican candidates for the 2024 presidential election, Trump joins others in expressing skepticism regarding the ongoing war in Ukraine.
