Snoop Dogg faced an emotional moment on the latest episode of The Voice when he was tasked with choosing a winner for the knockout round. The 53-year-old rapper, visibly moved, had to make the tough decision to send two of his three finalists home during the episode that aired on Monday, November 18.

The round featured outstanding performances by Chris Deo, Mikaela Ayira, and Torre Blake, leaving Snoop in a difficult position. As the contestants gave it their all, the Drop It Like It’s Hot singer struggled to make his decision.

Getting teary-eyed, Snoop expressed his feelings about the contestants. “I didn’t think I was gonna get this emotional. I love these three girls. Ya’ll make me proud,” he said. Acknowledging the weight of his decision, he continued, “I’m so torn right now because I can’t take all of ya’ll with me. I’m hurt. And I’m supposed to be strong right now. I’m supposed to make ya’ll strong. But this is how you affected me. I love each and every one of you.”

Comparing the moment to a father sending his children off to college, Snoop said, “It feels like it’s my own daughters up there, and I have to send two of them off to college while one of them gets to stay home.”

Addressing the finalists with heartfelt words, Snoop said, “Ladies, I love all three of you. I’m so honored to have been able to be your coach, spend time with you, get to know you, to give you something to roll with for the rest of your lives — because you affected me for the rest of my life.”

Finally, after much deliberation, Snoop revealed the winner. “So with that being said… the winner of this knockout is Mikaela,” he announced. The decision marked a bittersweet end to the round, as Snoop said goodbye to ChrisDeo and Torre Blake while celebrating Mikaela Ayira’s victory. His emotional connection with the contestants highlighted his dedication as a coach and mentor on the show, leaving a lasting impression on fans and viewers alike.
