Prince Harry ‘Trapped’ in America Until His Children Are Adults Due to Meghan’s Concerns Over UK Safety, Expert Claims
Prince Harry is reportedly feeling stuck, unable to bring his children, Archie and Lilibet, to the UK to visit King Charles without Meghan Markle’s consent. According to New Idea Magazine, the Duke of Sussex faces a significant challenge in convincing Meghan to agree to such a visit, given the concerns they’ve both raised about safety.
The report suggests that Harry may have “trapped himself in America” until his children are legal adults, as it’s unlikely Meghan would approve of him taking them to the UK under current circumstances. The outlet notes, “You can’t see Meghan agreeing to him taking the kids to the UK after everything he’s said about their apparent lack of safety.”
Given that Archie and Lilibet are both American citizens, Harry would need Meghan’s permission to bring them to the UK, creating a legal and emotional dilemma for the Duke. According to the report, Harry may have “one hell of a battle on his hands” when it comes to negotiating with his wife over this issue, especially as U.S. courts are more likely to favor granting custody to the mother.
These revelations come shortly after Prince Harry’s return to the UK for the WellChild Awards, where he delivered a heartfelt speech addressing the dangers of social media on developing minds. The September 30th event marked Harry’s first visit since February of this year when he flew back to see his father following King Charles’ cancer diagnosis.
However, during this recent trip, Prince Harry reportedly did not have any private meetings with other members of the royal family, further highlighting the ongoing strain in his relationships.
