He spoke highly of Michelle’s ability to be herself and the positive influence she has on people, saying, “I thought it would be amazing if I could make just a fraction of the impact she’s had.” Allen described both Michelle and Barack Obama as relaxed and caring, often showing genuine concern for their security team’s well-being.
Allen praised Michelle Obama’s welcoming nature, recalling how both she and Barack made efforts to connect with people around them, including him feeling valued by the Obamas even after he departed from the service.
